This year’s Christmas was a little different than our previous ones. But it was quite good. Dad came over sometime after lunch, there had been an incident at work he had to deal with.
Once he arrived, we started getting all the food out and the table ready. Dad even managed to put together a Gingerbread house, this year made from Gingerbread cookies since we were a little pressed for time. Under our Christmas tree there were a lot of nice presents for us to open after we had finished watching the Christmas Classic, Donald Duck and his friends.
All in all, and despite the recent changes in all of our lives, it was a good Christmas.
Next week we’re heading over to Dad’s, and he’s told us something about one more Christmas surprise … 
Today, the package finally arrived! I have been nagging at Dad about “Börlig” for about a month now, and early this week we sat down at his computer to try to find it on the Internet. It turns out that my information was a bit out of touch and that what we really should been looking for was “Bear League”. What’s a few letters here and there, right? Anyway, I settled on Mascot #7 in the Liverpool FC outfit. Dad also got me an accessory package and a Locker Room; all from 
After Alexander’s football game, Dad and I went grocery shopping. I brought my drawing pad and some pens, just to keep myself occupied while Dad was roaming through the shop. We got all the stuff we needed, and as an extra bonus, we found some Finnish Salty Liquorice as well as some Solna Korv Hot Dogs with +80% meat content. Sweet!
As is common around here, this weekend has so far been very busy, but in a good way. On friday, Filip went to Melinda’s birthday party. It was a huge success, but a bit tiring for Filip since “he was chased by all the girls”. Today, Alexander’s team had (as usual) two football matches. They lost the first one and won the second one. After the game, we chilled for a while, and then went for a coffee-and-cake-break at 
Today, it finally happened; we won our first tournament game (S:t Eriks Cupen). The match ended 3-2 in our favor, and it was a truly sensational experience! We played very well and were all very focused on the mission. We scored the first goal, and then the other team went to 1-1. We scored again to 2-1, and then we let them back into the game at 2-2. I felt fairly certain that we were going to score the next goal, and when we did, it was fantastic! Victory sure makes the post-game ice cream taste so much better!
Technically speaking, it’s not until tomorrow, but what the heck … we had some most welcome visitors (Tanya, Dan, Oscar, Victor, and Aunt Yvonne) over, so we might as well celebrate one day early, right?
