Farewell 2006!

Hello 2007! As we launch ourselves into the new year, I wanted to drop my last note of 2006 before I fall asleep. Mom and dad have let me stay up way past my bedtime today, since it’s New Year’s Eve and all! We even shot off some great fireworks. Filip wasn’t too keen on them, so he ran into the house after the first few bangs. It was the first time we’ve had fireworks, and although dad only got three or four really big pieces, it was well worth the wait!

The holidays have been wonderful. A lot of candy, a lot of gifts, and a lot of time with my family. Santa brought me a Creative Zen MP3 player, a Stiga Play-Off Ice Hockey game, and some other really cool stuff.

It’s weird that it takes me 1-2 weeks of holidays before I really start enjoying them. But I guess that’s what mom and dad mean when they say “winding down”.

Roughly one more week of holidays, and then school starts. Of course, the most important event in the near future will be my upcoming seventh birthday :-)

See you soon!

Toothlesser

What started in May of this year is now turning me into a "smiling piano" (dad’s words), or toothless in short.

It’s getting increasingly difficult to chew things like apples and similar things. Of course, I look much more charming when smile that killer smile.

I sure hope these things start growing back soon!

Vernissage Alexander

We had a grand showing of our art today at school. Just about everyone showed up for the vernissage. Mom, Dad, and Filip were there too.

The best part of it was when we got to sing songs for our parents, and munch away at the chips and other snacks that our teachers had bought for us. Bino, the lady that had helped us organize all the art, was there too of course.

A side-effect of the munch-attack was that I could barely get any food down the hatch when I came home :-)

End of football 2006

Today we had our end-of-season 2006 party at FC Kristineberg, my football club. It was good fun to meet everyone and to indulge in waaaay too many hotdogs, cakes, and cookies.

We got to watch a short presentation about respect, zero-tolerance, and football in general. Many hard "grown-up" words, but they explained it to us very good.

I also got myself a diploma, yay!

Now we’ll take a break from football until the end of January. Not sure how I will survive, but dad tells me it’s a welcome break, not sure what he means by that :-)

Action Paintball Game

Today I went to Alex’s birthday party!

His parents had booked the Action Paintball Game place where myself, Alex, and quite a few of our shared friends turned into sugar and adrenaline phreaks.

Lasertag and Tank Battle was the most fun. Mom and dad were a little bit worried we were going to play paintball, but Alex’s parents both thought that was a bit over the top considering our age :-)

Anyway, it was a real blast, and I was completely exhausted when I came home.

Lemmings

Hello WWW! This weekend I was getting bored with playing computer games, or at least the once I had installed on the computer. So I clicked on the Firefox icon on my desktop, and voila! Dad had set the starting page to SVT, which has some games related to the children’s programming I see on TV. So I played some of that website’s on-line games, it was great!

Then I downloaded a PDF which I asked dad to print, it had some foldable paper figures in it. I’m becoming a world citizen :-) I think dad will be installing some sort of filter soon.. whatever that means.

After my sunday bath, dad came running with a computer game case and said he had forgotten about an old game that might be suitable for me. Two minutes later, I was clearing Lemmings levels. Wow, what a cool game! I’m beginning to realize I will probably never run out of cool things on the computer, and I have barely begun using the "net". Another cool game I have (well, it’s more of an educational thing really) is GCompris.

Halloween 2006

Halloween is finally here! This year, I had my first Halloween party at school; check out this cool face mask!

Basically the whole day turned into one big party. We had munchies and candy at school, and then we we came home dad made green pancakes, how cool!

Axel has left the building

On friday, when we were getting ready to go to Blidö, Mom found Axel sleeping the long sleep in his cage. That really got me down. So this weekend was a so-so experience. Dad dug a grave and we made a cross together to mark it, and then the whole family had a little ceremony. Not sure what will happen now as far as a pet goes, but I’m sure time will tell. Axel got to be almost exactly a year and a half; which I’m told is an OK time for a hamster. Time passing by can hurt.

You’ll find more pictures of Axel in our photo gallery

Blidö visit with the boys

I just got back from a two day road trip to Blidö with Göran and Dad. We figured we’d get away from everyone and everything, and I think my dad really needed the break. There’s been just a "tad" too much work lately. We had a blast! You’ll find some pictures of the event here

I could get used to this

Yesterday was the first day of school, and it was quite a blast! We didn’t get to do much of course since it was the first day, but it was a lot of fun; I specially enjoyed seeing all my old friends from daycare. This week will be a slow but exciting week.

Today I went to school for two hours, and then dad came to pick me up. We went to town and had Tacos for lunch. After that, we went to H&M for some shopping (dad) and then moved on to the store where they had GameBoy-stuff! I got "Cars!" and another game called "Earthworm Jim" I think. Before going back home to pick up Filip from daycare, we went by McDonald’s for a milkshake treat. I could get used to all days at school being like this :-)
