While mom was taking care of the last few Christmas decorations at home, dad and I went to the city to pick up the Christmas ham and my present for mom. Dad and I went to McDonald’s for a quick bite; I have now progressed from just eating french fries with ketchup to actually trying the hamburgers. How many other kids don’t like hamburgers? I don’t know the answer, but it’s taken me a long time to learn to eat them anyway. Today I managed half a burger, without onions and without pickles. Anyway, we got the ham and we got the gift (I bought mom two Eva Dahlgren CDs); when we got home, I was exhausted. I’m beginning to understand why mom and dad say it takes a lot of energy to make Christmas a relaxed and enjoyable holiday

My first pair of skates
Mom and dad decided to get me an early Christmas gift this year; apparently I have now reached the age (according to my parents) when it’s time to learn how to skate.
Said and done; yesterday, we went to get a pair of skates. Since dad’s last skates were made sometime around the birth of Jesus, he got a pair too. This morning, we went to Vasaparken to go skating for the very first time in my life. It was really cool. Although dad said the people at the store hadn’t done a very good job with sharpening the skates, we both did good. I kept falling down, and dad kept telling me how to get up without falling down immediately again. At the end of the session, I had it down pat. Maybe I’ll be a goalie like dad some day
Swim School Part III
Today, I wrapped up my third term at swim school. We had a few graduation tests, where we had to swim with a life jacket, and some other gadgets. It was great fun!
Everybody got a diploma, and I had earned four "shields" throughout this course (Silvergrodan, Ryggrodan, Krabban Röd, and Livbojen Röd). I had one from the previous course (Krabban Blå), so now the grand total is five.
Now we take a break for a week, and then I start my fourth term!

Kapla building sticks
I have once again found my Kapla building sticks; or maybe they found me. Anyway, I enjoy building with them. I just have to find the time and sit down and really get into it. This is a reconstruction of something I built yesterday. I re-built it today so that dad could take a picture of it. Pretty neat, huh?
Waterboy
So I finally managed to convince mom and dad to give swim school a call again; I’ve now been to the first two classes of the season.
This is a more advanced course than the previous one, and hopefully I’ll learn some new tricks. At least one parent has to be in the water with their child, so it feels pretty safe. Last time, dad managed to let me dive in without catching me, that was excellent!
Axel is in the house!
On Saturday, while I was away to a friend’s (Vincent) birthday party, the rest of my family went on a little roadtrip to get me a present; how nice of them!
Mom, dad, and Filip drove to the pet store and got me a hamster, with all the stuff that goes with one. When I came home from the party, they told me a lot about responsibilities and what not.. and then dad said I should go into my room and have a look.
And there he was.. my very first own pet!
For those of you who know me and/or my dad, you quickly realize the reason behind the hamster’s name; we used to have a dog named Axl.
You’ll find more pictures of Axel in our photo gallery
Five Years
Another year has passed, which means I’ve grown that much wiser and older. Despite my mom and dad not being very fond of my choice, this year’s birthday party was held at McDonald’s. Most of my friends had had their parties orchestrated by good old Ronald, so I wanted mine hosted by him too. I don’t know what mom and dad are complaining about, they got their cake-eating-party-with-grown-ups too a few days later!
I mean, after all, the most important thing is that I get lots of presents, cake, and candy; isn’t it?!
